Our story

My mom, Ann Lally (Melia), is the inspiration behind Lally’s. When our family first moved from Ireland to the States, she struggled to recreate traditional Irish brown bread because American flour was so different from the wholemeal flour she knew at home. Through trial and error, she created her own flour blend to get it just right.

Today, I’m lucky enough to source authentic Irish wholemeal flour in the States, but the recipe — and the inspiration behind it — still comes from my mom and our roots in Mayo. 💚❤️
